We’d be delighted to welcome you to The Chimney House to celebrate Christmas this year...
Perched on the historic waterways of Kelham Island Sheffield, The Chimney House is the location for joyous celebrations, jolly feasting and fine wining and dining.
Fall in love with a Chimney House celebration. The flicker of candlelight, the bubbles of champers, we plan, arrange, style and host fabulous parties with a difference; perfect dining experiences and the most glorious Christmas celebrations imaginable!
We are worldwide famous for our love of feasting - perfectly social, exceptionally delicious and always abundant! Get caught up in our joy and revel in the delight of having your event planned to perfection. We will host your guests in the ambiently beautiful surrounds of our historic building perfectly dressed for Christmas, with stacks and stacks of candles, our 12ft Christmas tree, and feasting food to impress.
A Note on our Menus
All of our menus are prepared in-house by our in-house chef team! Everything is baked and made fresh from our bread, cakes, cookies and desserts and we pickle, cure, roast and toast the finest ingredients from Sheffield and Yorkshire.
We work 100% seasonally so sometimes we will need to change ingredients out for what is best and fresh - we’ll let you know if we need to tweak your chosen menu ahead of your event. We can cater for all dietary requirements - just let us know and we’ll make it happen!
We’ve carefully curated a delicious wine, beer and cocktail line up that matches our menus and makes life super easy for you. Our drinks are beautifully chosen from boutique merchants and specialists doing great stuff in small batches. Ask about our Festive Punch Bowls and indulgent Christmas Cocktail specials!

This is our signature menu, showcasing British produce, and some of our house made favourites, such as the salmon which is lovingly cured, and smoked over oak. The starters are a generous spread of colour & flavour, with a wonderful piece of beef for the main course - an absolute treat for your guests!

Our pavlovas are legendary, and for Christmas we've come up with some gorgeous pavs. Our PAVs are served whole for your guests to share with their table. They are always a perfect centrepiece!

Dietaries & Allergies: Some of our desserts can be made without gluten, on request - please ask. If you have vegan guests, or those who do not eat dairy or egg, the kitchen will make them their own dessert which is similar to your choice of pudding. If you have guests attending who have a nut allergy, we would advise choosing desserts which do not contain nuts, due to the sharing style of our feasts.
CHRISTMAS EXTRAS
Mini sweet treats for all your guests!
Add a final treat to your meal with our mini mince pies & figgy truffles. Our mini mince pies are filled with our extra special mincemeat and topped with toasted flaked almonds. Figgy truffles are chocolatey, fudgy & fruity! Both for £2.50 per person (excluding vat), must be taken by all guests.
Mowbray-made Christmas Puddings
Our Mowbray-made Christmas puds are bursting with luxe fruits including figs and morello cherries, local cider & fresh citrus zest. We’ll serve your pud up with toasted whole almonds and candied fruit, with a jug of thick brandy cream.
You can either choose to have Christmas Pudding for all your guests or order one or two for the table; they will be approx 1kg which would serve 8-10 guests a decent slice, or just a taste for more.
We need all orders for our Mowbray-made puds by Monday 7th November 2022

Félicette, a.k.a space cats or cat wine, is named after the first cat to travel to Space! Representative of adventure and something a little different - it’s an easy quaffer that's fresh, dry and zesty but far from boring.
RED // Flic Tinto / Blend- Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Castello, Pinot Noir / Sustainable, vegan, veggie / 2019 / 13% / Lisboa, Portugal.
A delicious blend of three grapes with a little time in oak makes for a balanced, medium bodied wine that's become a favourite of regulars of The Mowbray.
ROSE // Adobe Reserva Rosé / Blend- Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot / Organic, vegan, veggie / 2021 / 12% / Rapel Valley, Chile.
Chile does Provence…Refreshing and delicious predominantly from estate owned organic vineyards in the Rapel Valley.

WHITE // Mandrarossa Viognier / Viognier / Vegan, veggie / 2020 / 13% / Sicily, Italy.
A different style of Viognier grown on fresh soils, called “Le Sénie”, near water springs that give the wine intense and enveloping fragrances.
RED // Georges Darriaud Cairanne / Blend- Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre / Organic, vegan, veggie / 2019 / 14.5% / Cairanne, Southern Rhône, France.
A fantastic Chateauneauf-du-Pape alternative! A classic Southern Rhône blend slowly aged in oak to make for a complex, elegant and balanced wine. A Mowbray star wine!
ROSE / Reserve de Gassac Rosé / Blend- Grenache, Syrah, Carignan / Organic practicing (not certified), vegan, veggie / 2021 / 12.5% / Languedoc, France.
Absolutely delicious and a must try - this rosé is from a top Languedoc producer who has a reputation for some fabulous premium wines- their rosé certainly follows suit.
PACKAGE 4: The Super Deluxe - £28

A crisp elegant white made from a blend of 5 different grapes named after one the estate's natural predators, Pekin ducks! They are deployed amongst the vines to naturally scare away any pests.
RED // Dandelion Vineyards Lioness of McLaren Vale Shiraz / 100% Shiraz / Vegan, veggie / 2018 / 14.5% / McLaren Vale, Australia.
From the award winning husband and wife team, Dandelion's Lioness captures the power and elegance achievable from McLaren Vale Shiraz. Dandelions are encouraged between the vines to suppress winter weeds and provide mulch in summer, hence their name.

An exemplary Blanc de Blancs and great apéritif style from a historic Champagne family. The wine has 3 years on the lees to give excellent balance of freshness and toasty notes.
Need to Knows
Our menus are seasonal menus - your exact menu choices will be dependent on date and also please do expect changes - our chef team works to seasonality and availability - and we source local and regional.
We will let you know as soon as we do if there will be changes to your menu!
Menus can be served seated for 50 (min of 20) or served as a grazing feast for up to 55 standing
Any of our menus can be served at a time to suit your event
Menus and prices will change seasonally
Use of our speaker system for your tunes, plug and play from your iPad, laptop or phone (we have a noise restriction after 10.30pm due to our residential area)
We don’t have facilities for a DJ, or space for a band
We close at 11pm
We can cater to all dietary requirements
Guest numbers and dietary requirements are confirmed 7 days before your event
We prefer BACS payments
We take a payment of £250 as a non-refundable deposit to secure your date, this is then subtracted from your final bill. Your deposit payment confirms your understanding and acceptance of our terms and conditions HERE
