'We had visited The Mowbray before but attended a wedding open day in September 2023 after getting engaged in May. From then on, we knew it was the venue for us - it was perfect. We didn’t even feel the need to look elsewhere and soon enough, it was booked!

From start to finish, the team were absolutely incredible. Their support and professionalism were flawless, and they helped make our day truly perfect.

Communication throughout the entire process was exceptional. No matter how many emails I sent (and there were a lot!), the team were always quick to respond, kind, and ready to help with anything we needed.

Kelham Pride happened to fall on the same day as our wedding, and we were initially apprehensive about possible disruptions. But on the day, we wouldn’t have even known it was taking place. Lucy and the team managed everything behind the scenes seamlessly, ensuring everything ran without any issues.

Our ceremony was really special. The Chimney House is intimate and so unique. The styling with Cat's gorgeous flowers was such a brilliant touch. Following the ceremony, we made our way back to The Mowbray, where we were greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of punch. The food was honestly AMAZING. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. We absolutely loved the idea of sharing tables - it was informal and relaxed which was what we wanted. The summer pavlova was also a highlight for many of our guests.

The floor and bar staff were outstanding. Everyone was both professional and incredibly friendly. Into the evening, everyone had so much fun dancing the night away. With the weather being warm and muggy, having access to the terrace to relax and take a breather was an absolute lifesaver. The team really went above and beyond, ensuring that the evening food was served promptly and that cake was delivered to guests on the terrace. The evening food and cake was just as delicious as everything else!

So many of our family and friends have commented on the sheer professionalism and dedication of the entire team. Several even said it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended! We truly can’t thank the team at The Chimney House & The Mowbray enough. You made our wedding dreams come true, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We will never forget our day.'
