You know those perfect spring days, when the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and you're getting married to the love of your life? Sarah and Chris do!
Having secured a cancellation and booking their wedding with just TWO MONTHS to go, this delightful couple didn't have long to prep, but pulled off the most glorious day full of love and laughter.
Tying-the-knot next door at Kelham Museum, the couple and their nearest and dearest meandered along the cobbles in the sunshine to The Chimney House to tuck into a glorious Yorkshire wedding breakfast. As they arrived, confetti was thrown, fizz was quaffed and shots were snapped by the totally excellent Joey at Hove & Co Photography.
Wandering into our beautiful Grade II listed Sheffield wedding venue to begin their feast, our were tables adorned with meadow flowers and stacks of candles, and absolutely laden with the most toothsome treats... starting with sourdough breads for tearing and sharing stuffed with cheese, olives and garden herbs, summer beets with goats curd, boards of gin-cured gravadlax, potted shrimp and home-cured meats, and summer pickles with broad bean hummus for dipping and dolloping.
As they tucked in, our framed screen flicked through handpicked photos of the memories Sarah and Chris had created together throughout their lives.
On to some total show-stopper mains... tender juicy pork loin, stuffed with fresh herbs and red onion, spatchcocked chicken marinated with olive oil, lime, local grown chilli and seared on the BBQ with a basting of homemade cider, aubergine parmigiana - richly baked with tomatoes, aubergine, ricotta cheese, basil and garlic, a delightful spring cabbage, spinach and griddled cauliflower bake, suuuper luxe dauphinoise potatoes - the creamiest, cheesiest delight, and perfectly cooked buttered peas. Heaven on a table!
With juuust about enough space to squeeze in a layered chocolate pudding pot with a super sticky berry glaze, to finish everyone off!
Time for a quick top up and on to speeches, lots of laughter, lots of memories, and lots of love!
This totally wonderful couple, and their gorgeous family and friends then went on to party the night away next door.
We couldn't be happier we could squeeze them in to help celebrate their 'perfect day'!
