Last night at The Chimney House we hosted an ode to the end of love, our beautiful Sheffield venue cloaked in candlelight, revelled in heartbreak with Manchester Collective and singer Nishla Smith. 

Cabaret: A Show about the End of Love, was a musical exploration of love and loss. Alongside a brilliant and unlikely set of songs, the Collective presented a devastating series of real stories, letters, and poems, many of which were spread around the floor of The Chimney House for our guests to wander over as they arrived. 

Settling in with a glass of fizz, or two, our guests sank into their chairs to enjoy Cabaret, the first show Manchester Collective have ever produced from scratch. All of the music in the show was original, or in original arrangements, and the vast majority of the letters and poems in the show were also new.

And, as per usual, the feedback absolutely blew us away... "What an amazing evening! Cried like a baby but the music and vocals were superb.... Can't wait to see you again!" Karen Willsmer. Another guest said it was "possibly the most exciting and stimulating chamber music concert [they'd] ever been to!"
