Real Weddings - Charlotte & Paul
Posted 26th July, 2016You know we love the weddings. So when Charlotte and Paul came to us in 2015 to ask for help celebrating in Sheffield - we were over the moon! Just under a year later, and here we are!
This gorgeous couple filled their wedding day and our beautiful venue with hand-made touches, great friends, and SUNSHINE!
Andrew, Charlotte's dad, got in touch to say... "could I again thank you, and your staff for a fantastic day on Friday. The celebration of of our daughter's wedding was memorable in every way. All our guests have commented how relaxed the day was in your spectacular venue. We all loved how the tables were laid and how the rooms were decorated. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble... our guests have also mentioned this which really did make the day. Thank You."
Guests enjoyed the most delicious canapes; mini moroccan lamb skewers with sumac mint & yoghurt dip, tartlets of crab and lemon mayonnaise, blinis of Yorkshire smoked salmon with Longley Farm crème fraiche, mini Yorkshire puddings filled with Rivelin Valley roast beef and horseradish cream and savoury scones with feta, tomato and thyme.
And our House Feast went down a stom... the stickiest slow roast glazed rib of pork inspired by our travels to Tulum and Hartwood Costilla, locally tweaked with Henderson’s Relish and a Sheffield porter, tender milk-marinated spatchcock chicken, roasted until crispy with a yoghurt, sesame and semolina crust, asparagus and lemon risotto with delicate parmesan crisps, herby and crisp baked potatoes, oven roast tomato salad with a splash of balsamic, little gem and green bean salad with a Dijon mustard dressing and baskets of freshly baked artisan breads served with big pats of fresh butter. Pudding was the most delicious gooey salted caramel chocolate tart.
There's nothing lovelier than helping a couple start their married life together in exactly the way they want to! Hurrah for weddings!
