At The Chimney House we specialise in the hosting the most private and exclusive corporate events for the most prestigious of clients...

We had the honour of welcoming Rolex and Goldsmiths for supper this week, to showcase new season watch collections to aficionados and connoisseurs alike.

The prestigious evening started in the Front Room with a flute or two of Billecart-Salmon champagne supplied by our favourite boutique wine merchant, Starmore Boss, perfectly matched with a selection of canapes including; mini moroccan lamb skewers with sumac mint & yoghurt dip, blinis of Yorkshire smoked salmon with Longley Farm crème fraiche, mini Yorkshire puddings filled with Rivelin Valley roast beef and horseradish cream, potato fondant with olive and rosemary served with porcini cream and sautéed mushroom and stuffed cherry tomatoes with nettle pesto and parmesan.

Guests then moved upstairs to be welcomed to tables covered in beautiful white floral arangements and candles, interspersed with cases of the ultimate in luxury watches to be admired and adored!

Our delectable menu included delicate hot smoked trout, watercress & mustard creme fraiche or beetroot carpaccio with Yorkshire goats cheese and walnut and honey bread to start, then melt in your mouth, slow cooked Derbyshire lamb with rosemary and red wine or stuffed baby aubergine with Peak Wensleydale cheese, finished with perfect peaks of sugary and tart lemon meringue. Of course, the evening isn't complete without a tempting mix of Yorkshire cheeses and chutneys served with a selection of artisan biscuits and pats of fresh butter, served alongside a Churchill's 20 Years Old Tawny Port. Delicious!
